The USEPA Lead Abatement Worker Initial is a 2-day (16-hour) training course that teaches Students how to setup and perform lead-abatement projects while learning the applicable regulations and appropriate personal protective equipment needed. Students will participate in a variety of in-class Exercises, as well as Hands-on Workshops including Job Site & Decon Setup, Abatement Methods (Removal, Replacement and Enclosure) and Final Cleanup Procedures.
Following the successful completion of this course, you will receive an Interim Course Completion Certificate which will allow you to work for a 6-month period as a Lead Abatement Worker while you are completing the USEPA Application Process to receive your full 3-year license.
*This course also meets the requirements for the Nassau County Environmental Hazard Remediation Provider & Technician Licenses.
