Beginning November 1, 2024 you can to apply for and receive a Worker Wallet Card from a DOB-Approved Course Provider for specific qualifications. This card is different from and does not replace an SST Card. In addition to your name and expiration date, there will be a QR code that can be scanned by a site supervisor to confirm that you are qualified in Training Connect.

Who needs a Worker Wallet?
If you have any of these qualifications, you’ll need a Worker Wallet Card:
- Mast Climber User/Operator and Refresher
- Climber/Tower Crane Rigger
- Rigging Supervisor
- Rigging Worker
- Supported Scaffold User
- Supported Scaffold Installer & Remover
- Suspended Scaffold User
- Suspended Scaffold Supervisor
- Periodic Gas Piping Inspector
I already have an SST Card. Do I still need a Worker Wallet?
Yes you do. You will need both.
How much does a Worker Wallet card cost?
Getting your Worker Wallet card through 7 Safety Training Services will cost $75.00. Fill out the form at the bottom of this page and we will contact you with more details, or pay for your Worker Wallet card at this link.
When does a Worker Wallet expire?
Worker Wallets don’t ever expire. However, they have a “valid through” date which states the lifespan of the card and the courses themselves do expire. You can use the Training Connect app on your phone to check your current certifications.
How soon do I need a Worker Wallet?
Worker Wallets will be accepted by the DOB on November 1, 2024. However, you have until July 1, 2025 to get yours. After that point, they’ll be required, and you won’t be able to work without one.
Any scaffold or rigging cards issued on or after 11/1/24 will need to be issued on a Worker Wallet card.
