Course Description

This course provides construction workers and supervisors with the knowledge necessary to recognize mental health risk factors in the workplace and understand how they can affect safety, well-being, and job performance. The training promotes the early identification of signs of stress, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and suicide risk, while also increasing awareness of the resources available to seek professional help and support. In order to continue to operate in the City of New York, the designated construction
worker is required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved Site Safety Training and to carry Site Safety identification cards as proof of completion
of the training. This course provides two hours towards the satisfaction of that requirement. Other requirements include the 30 hour OSHA construction course and the 8 hour fall prevention course.
